NBA 2K16 features a special story mode called Livin’ Da Dream, created by filmmaker Spike Lee. The story follows a young basketball prodigy named Frequency Vibrations (nicknamed “Freak”). He grows up in Harlem with his supportive parents and his twin sister, Cee-Cee.

Freak becomes a high-school star and earns attention from top colleges. After choosing a university, he continues to impress scouts and eventually enters the NBA Draft. When he reaches the NBA, Freak faces pressure, fame, business problems, and bad influences around him.

Throughout the journey, Freak must balance loyalty to his family, friendships, and decisions that shape his future career. With hard work and better choices, he rises to become a successful NBA player.
