Gran Turismo for PSP, released in 2009, doesn’t follow a traditional storyline—unlike racing games with a career mode or narrative, this game is more of a pure racing simulator. Instead of a story, the focus is on car collection, driving skill, and race mastery.

You start as a driver with no cars, money, or fame. As you compete in various single-player races, driving challenges, and missions, you earn credits that you can use to purchase cars from a rotating dealership system. With over 800 cars and 35 tracks (with variations), the goal is to build your dream garage and become a master of every course.

While there’s no cutscene-driven plot, the “story” is really the progression of you as a driver—from humble beginnings to a seasoned racer with a massive, diverse collection of world-class cars.

Multiplayer lets you race against friends in ad hoc mode, but even there, it’s all about bragging rights and racing skill—not drama.
